Happy New Year!

Coming at you live on a Monday in LA after djing in Miami, at the Four Seasons Surfside, Thomas Keller's Restaurant Surf Club (a mouthful, I know). The party was outside, 75 degrees, beautfiul terrace, champagne, confetti, it was a party indeed.

Honestly, my whole weekend in Miami was truly a dream. I love DJing in Miami and DJing in South Florida in general. I've done many events in Palm Beach earlier this year and last year and it was so nice to be spending New Years in Florida.

I kicked off my weekend in Miami with a.. nap. I left LA at 6am and was tired when I landed but I knew I wanted to indulge a bit and I knew I wanted a Kir Royale, too much Emily in Paris!

I was staying in mid-beach which is walking distance to some of my favorite places. I put on a cute outfit and walked over to The Edition Miami and dined at the Matador Room, cocktails, desert, the whole thing. After dinner, I walked down to the Basement at The Edition, which has a bar, dj, ice skating, and bowling. Even though I was ridin solo, I had such a good time, but it was time to leave after I fell on the ice, my pants were too cute to ruin.

I was walking back in the direction of my hotel but I wasn't ready to call it a night. As I was walking, I saw Faena, which looked like quite the scene so I walked in and was directed downstairs where I drank and danced alone. That was the first time I went partying alone and honestly it was a good time. At first, I felt a bit awkward but then after another Kir Royale, I was feeling the dj and made a few friends on the dancefloor.

The next day was my New Years Eve party at the Four Seasons. I have DJd on New Years Eve but it was my first time leading the countdown and it couldn't have gone better. The crowd was very international and diverse in all ages. The last song I played of the year was 'Last Dance' by Donna Summer and I couldn't have timed that better! It was a hot winter festive night.

My last morning in Miami, I had to go to the beach. It was raining in LA, and I was a one minute walk to the beach. What an amazing way to start the new year! Clear ocean water, hot sand, beaming sun, quiet beach. Take me back!

What I've discovered is New Years in Miami is always a good idea!
